More than sculpting materials, I could say that I use metallic materials to sculpt space and light. Creative force and energy are transformed into sculptural matter, which in turn becomes bright energy, with all its vital and symbolic values.
The material used is reflecting stainless steel, which I use for all my monumental sculptures since it is an ideal material for large formats and for works which are to be exhibited for a long time outdoors, exposed to all sorts of harsh weather conditions.
The reflecting surface gives me the feeling of sculpting light. The brightness and purity of steel allow me to shape the material until I end up perceiving its dissolution and the creation of new shapes, new dimensions, as in a mystical journey into a different reality.
